On March 12, 20, 24, and 31st, a total of 4 Chef Seminars were hosted in Zhongshan, Xi’an, Shanghai, and Suzhou separately to further educate the local chefs about Alaska seafood so as to increase the application of Alaska seafood in the foodservice sector in China.
Totally over 200 chefs and purchasing professionals attended the educational program. All of them are from high-end hotels and restaurants in Zhongshan, Xi’an, Shanghai, and Suzhou or surrounding cities. A 6-course menu was developed by a guest chef in advance and recipe booklets were printed to be distributed at the seminars. The cooking process of 6 courses was demonstrated by the guest chef on site. The chefs were also taught how to handle Alaska seafood properly.
