ASMI China held successful chef seminars in Furuma Dalian Hotel in Dalian and Traders Hotel Shenyang in Shenyang on June 16th and 17th. More than 50 local executive chefs from Dalian and 40 local executive chefs from Shenyang attended the seminars. The displayed products and POS materials were very useful for the education and introduction during the seminar.
The beginning of the event included a detailed briefing of the current marketing situation of Alaska seafood, given by an ASMI China representative. This was followed by a cooking demonstration that was led by famous chefs Mu Hao in Dalian and Zhang Ben Teng in Shenyang. There were a total of seven courses created, specifically focusing on combination of colors, taste and presentation. The attendees spoke very highly of the resulting dishes and took commemorating photos with the chefs. The two head chefs were able to answer questions raised by the attendees and made sure to introduce the key points of how they prepared and cooked seafood. The chef attendees were able to understand firsthand the high-quality and versatility of Alaska seafood after the tasting, and agreed that there was indeed a market for it in the two respective cities. ASMI China hopes to strengthen ties and communication with the chefs in Dalian and Shenyang in order to further promote Alaska seafood in those cities.
