On August 11th 2005, the opening ceremony for the Alaskan seafood foodservice promotion and ASMI gathering was held at Shenyang’s Traders Hotel. Over 70 people including local seafood importers, retailers, chefs and journalists were invited to participate in the activity. Mr. LaVerne Brabant, Director of ATO Beijing, and Robin Wang delivered opening remarks. An informative video about Alaska seafood was shown and ASMI POS materials were distributed to participants. Alaska seafood was served at the lunch reception following the opening ceremony.
