2019 Alaska Seafood Chef Competition in Guangzhou

ASMI held a chef competition in December 2019, with the Guangzhou Association of 5-Star Executive Hotel Chefs. There were 40 chefs from 5-star hotels that participated, with 20 culinary teams, comprised of 2 members each. Each team worked with Alaska black cod, plus a choice of pollock or yellowfin sole to create the most attractive and best-tasting dishes. In the end, a panel of judges featuring 3 maters chefs voted and awarded teams with certificates, medals and trophies for creative and tasty dishes. On the second day, ASMI launched a banquet to raise awareness of Alaska seafood in HRI industry. Ten 10 media platforms provided coverage of the event.
